Hospitality Team

Time and Service commitment: Serve 1x a month; Arrive at 8:30am on Sunday morning to start setting up. Make coffee, hot water for tea/cocoa, take out snacks, and refill everything if needed. During tear down after service, wash/dry up coffeemaker, tea kettle, and thermos. Make a list of things we need to repurchase. Make sure bins are organized and ready for set up team to take upstairs.

Greeter Team

Time and Service commitment: Serve 1x a month; Greet people at the door and answer any questions people may have about the worship service!

Worship Team

Time and Service commitment: Serve 1x a month, practice around 2 hours with the team when scheduled; be part of the worship team via an instrument or vocals for Sunday services and special events including outreach events and worship/prayer nights.

Prayer Team

Time and Service commitment:

1. Pre-service prayer volunteer:

Pray for the service on Sundays at 9-9:45am

2. Prayer Counselors (Sunday):

Pray with people at Sunday service (both online and in-person) for salvation, Holy Spirit filling/baptism, deliverance, and next steps in spiritual growth. Training will be provided.

3. Prayer Counselors (throughout the week):

Receive prayer points during the week to pray for including the prayer requests that come in online/through the church website

4. Prayer ministry after baptisms:

On the first Sunday of the month when there are people getting baptized, pray after baptisms around 2pm.

5. 1st Friday of the month prayer and fasting: Pray from 7-8pm

Children’s Ministry

Time and Service commitment: Second City Stars is the children’s ministry (4 months to 5 years) of Second City Church. From start to finish, we strive to make every child’s time with us a great experience by providing safe, age-appropriate environments where the Bible is taught in creative, relevant and fun ways. Serve 1x a month, arrive at 9:15 before service to help set up and stay after service to tear down the kids materials. If you are teaching in the toddler class, we ask that you review the prepared materials before you teach the class.

Live Streaming Team

Time and Service commitment: Set up the live stream for Sunday worship services by helping to set up the camera equipment, software program and troubleshooting live as service gets streamed via Church Online, FB and Youtube. Serve 1x a month, arrive at 8:30 to set up.

Sound / Tech Team

Time and Service commitment: Setup the sound systems on Sunday morning. Help worship team through practice, run sound for Sunday service. Breakdown and store sound equipment. Time commitment - 8:30am to 12pm on Sunday morning when available.

Online Greeter Team

Time and Service commitment: Greet people online via Church Online platform and assist when requested for prayer requests as the service gets streamed online.

Set up/Tear Down Team

Time and Service commitment: Serve 1x to 2x a month; help take out materials from the storage closet and setup 30 mins before service (starting at 8:30am) and tear down and pack the storage closet after service (starting at 11:30am).

Dance Ministry Team

Time and Service commitment: Participate in rehearsals for special Sunday worship services and project-based work. Time commitment varies based on projects.

Media Team

Time and Service commitment: Serve as needed, requires graphic design and basic website knowledge or experience. Manage the church social media accounts and make graphics for events as needed.

Facilities Team

Time and Service commitment: Serve 1x per month at the Ministry Center; duties could include light cleaning indoors (take out trash & recycling, bathrooms, sweep, mop), picking up trash/tidying up the outside the building, and/or cutting the small plot of grass in front of the building
