At Second City Church, we believe prayer is not just a ministry of the church — it is the heartbeat of the church.
We gather to seek God’s presence, agree with His Word, and contend for His purposes in our lives, our city, and the nations.

“My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations.” — Isaiah 56:7

💬 Why We Pray

We pray because:

• God is near. Prayer is how we draw close, listen, and respond to Him.

• Things change when we pray. God invites us to partner with Him to see lives, families, and cities transformed.

• We are dependent. We don’t want to build anything in our own strength — we want the Lord to build His house.

• We are a family. Prayer knits our hearts together as we stand in faith for one another.

📅 Weekly Prayer Opportunities

1. Pre-Service Prayer — Sundays @ 9:30 AM

Location: GreenHouse Theater

Come early and help “set the atmosphere” in worship and faith before our Sunday service.
We spend time thanking God, praying for guests, leaders, and teams, and asking the Holy Spirit to move powerfully

2. Weekday 10-Minute Prayer Calls — 1:20pm-1:30pm

Short, focused, and powerful. These calls are designed to help leaders and volunteers stay covered in prayer and aligned with what God is doing.

3. Wednesday Prayer for the Nations - 7am to 7:30am
This is a great space for those who carry God’s heart for missions, justice, and the nations.
