At Second City Church, we believe that everyone has the ability to have a second chance and a second life. We desire others to experience this same freedom and to know the love of Jesus Christ. We want others to know that God is not an impersonal force or figure seated in a distant place, but a Holy God that desires to have a real and personal relationship with each of us. We exist to love Jesus and fulfill His Great Commission through Christ, Community and Culture.

Christ

Jesus Christ is at the center of everything we do at Second City Church. We exist to honor and serve Him! Our worship, teachings, study, community, classes and outreach opportunities are by His strength and for His glory.

We are firmly committed to our growing community. We strive to live in true relationship with one another - through trial, celebration and sharing so that none among us lacks. Plus, we just really like each other.

Culture

Jesus called His followers the "salt" and "light" of the earth. We believe we are Christ's ambassadors to the city of Chicago - the hands and feet of God. Therefore, we live to shape culture as we obey God and serve this city through our work, prayer and outreach.
